We are here to provide you with important information and support regarding financial matters related to the district. Our department is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Rio Hondo Independent School District, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.
Budget Management: We develop and manage the district's budget, working closely with administrators and staff to allocate resources effectively and efficiently.
Payroll Administration: Our team handles payroll processing for all district employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the district's accounts payable, processing vendor invoices and issuing payments. Additionally, we oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of funds owed to the district.
Purchasing: Facilitate in the procurement process, working with staff and vendors to acquire goods and services needed by the district. We ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.
Financial Reporting: Preparation and present financial reports to district administration, the school board, and external entities and provide a comprehensive overview of the district's financial health.
Grants and Funding: Assist in identifying and applying for grants and other funding opportunities to support the district's educational programs and initiatives.
Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures. We also coordinate audits to evaluate the district's financial practices and internal controls.
